Another summer has come and gone and I’m more than ready for cool breezes, riding boots, and pumpkin spice lattes. Before I officially move on to Fall mode though, I thought it best to reminisce on what my first “adult” summer has taught me.
It doesn’t matter how much you want to take it easy and just stay in bed, you still have to wake up every morning, go to work, and take care of your responsibilities. This meant my normal summer routine of sleeping in, sun bathing, staying up late, and binge watching new series was not on the menu. I had to catch summer in small snippets and appreciate them more: driving on the weekends with the windows down, going out for a frosty drink with friends, and saying yes to opportunities I normally wouldn’t take.
So here’s a recap of what I was able to achieve on my official summer bucket list.
